Early in our teaching career, most of us realize that we need additional, higher-level training to be a more confident and skillful teacher. My 300-hour online yoga teacher training has the structure, organization, depth, and professionalism that can help solve many of the common challenges that yoga teachers experience. Here’s some of the biggest challenges this course addresses:

Yoga Anatomy

The 15 hours of anatomy that you receive in foundational trainings simply isn’t enough. You will learn contemporary, functional anatomy that you can immediately use in your classes. As you gain knowledge and trust in your anatomical expertise, you will teach with more ease and confidence.
Yoga Philosophy

Unpacking the complex nuances and remarkable beauty of yoga philosophy requires an experienced, knowledgeable teacher who can make the teachings relevant. This course will help you understand yoga philosophy in an accessible way so that you can share its transformational wisdom with your students.

Yoga Sequencing

Authentic, inspired, and skillful sequencing is the most important aspect of being a professional teacher. From learning to create sequences for every posture group to sequencing for workshops, retreats, online classes, and public classes, this course has you covered. You’ll even reduce burnout and teach more effectively by developing a curriculum of your own.
Asana Technique

In the modern era, it’s extremely difficult to know which asana techniques are safe, sustainable and effective. This training -- rooted in decades of experience and anatomy overseen by doctors of Sports Medicine -- will teach you the most up-to-date, contemporary asana techniques.

Verbal Communication

Your ability to skillfully cue your students in everything from Sun Salutations to Savasana will improve dramatically in this training. Your ability to convey details and concepts to your students will help you embody your role as a teacher with more poise and self-assurance.
Ongoing Connection

As teachers, we often lack an ongoing connection with peers and a mentor. This training is different: after graduating you will be invited to ongoing online mentoring sessions and teacher’s practices led by Jason each month. These monthly sessions allow you to ask Jason your questions, connect with your fellow graduates, and will inspire your practice and teaching.

How the 300-hour yoga teacher training works

This training is designed to be flexible and supportive -- it is divided

into three 100-hour modules, which you can take in any order.

You do not need to finish all three modules in a calendar year to become certified.

Asana, pranayama, and meditation

Each module includes pre-recorded classes that are broken down into meditation, asana, and guided relaxation or pranayama components.
Pre-recorded lectures with a 6-week schedule

Jason will provide you with a schedule for moving through the content -- the schedule will keep you motivated and help with the online discussions. However, you can also go at your own pace and watch the videos as many times as you need to for an entire year.
400+ page Jason Crandell Yoga Method Manual

Each module has its own downloadable and printable PDF manual to reinforce the teachings in the course and keep you organized.
Yoga Alliance Accredited 500-Hour Certification

After completing all of the content and a testing process, you will be able to register with Yoga Alliance as a 500-hour RYT.

Twice-weekly live calls with Jason

Jason will hold live calls on Wednesdays and Saturdays for 6 weeks. (Note: There are two choices of meeting times on each day to accommodate different time zones. The idea is to choose one call on Wednesday and one call on Saturday to join.)

Module I Overview:

Creating Space + Freedom

in the Hips and Legs

How to work safely and effectively with the hip joint.
How to work with hip dysfunction, pain, and injury.
How to practice and teach advanced level postures like Hanumanasana, Padmasana, as well as inverted versions of these postures—and their alternatives.

How to understand and communicate the rotational action of the legs and hip joints.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I have a Yoga Alliance 200-Hour Certification, will this qualify me to become an E-RYT 500?

Yes! This 300-hour, Advanced Curriculum will qualify you for Yoga Alliance’s 500-hour certification.

What are the prerequesites for joining the program?

This program is for teachers who have already completed a 200-hour training. Jason will consider exceptions to this policy on a case-by-base basis. If you haven’t done a 200-hr program but wish to join this training, please email him at Jason@jasonyoga.com.

Can I join the program if I have not done a 200-hour training?

It’s possible that exceptions can be made on a case-by-base basis for dedicated practitioners who want to join this training even if they haven’t done a 200-hour program. This would require a conversation with Jason regarding your background and experience. Please feel free to contact him at Jason@jasonyoga.com.

If you haven’t done a 200-hour training, you won’t receive the 500-hour certification.

Do I have to take the modules in order?

No, the modules can be taken in any order. Each 100-hour module is fully contained and you can start with any one.

I only want to take one module -- is that OK or do I have commit to all three?

You’re welcome to join 1 or 2 modules without committing to all 3.

Will there be homework assignments?

You will have several assignments between the modules. The assignments between the modules will help maintain the continuity of the program and support your self-study. You won’t have any assignments during the modules.

What books will I be reading for the program?

I have a complete, detailed reading list that you can immediately access on our learning platform once you register for this program. I will also send you a digital copy of my fully illustrated, professionally designed teacher-training manual.

Are there discussion questions that go with the reading?

Yes. The best way to read this content is with reflection and discussion questions in mind. Yoga texts are meant to serve as points of reflection. I will provide you with reflection questions for each reading to help provide you structure and contextualization.

I can't attend all of the live streams? Will replays of the live calls be available?

You do not have to attend every livestream, but we do require that you watch the replays in order to gain certification.

Replays will be made available on the course platform after the live calls.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for advanced teacher training modules.
