Yoga Sequencing 2.0 will:

In my 30 years of teaching yoga, the decision to implement structure and planning into my yoga sequencing was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Now it's your turn.

Here's what you will learn:

This training includes several phases. Each one builds on the last, and each module is designed to support your ability to teach with more clarity, more continuity, and less burnout.

1

Orientation & Introduction

The first module is an introduction and orientation. I'll explain my approach, the course organization, and the internal logic I'm using.

2

Foundations of Yoga Sequencing 2.0

This module is really about why. It’s where I lay out why I believe sequencing needs a modern update so that we think beyond single classes, facilitate long-term student development, reduce burnout.

3

Master Sequencing Templates

This module focuses on what I call the Master Sequencing Templates. You will learn to adapt them to build workshops, build special series', and create online content.

4

Implementing a Curriculum

This module will help you think beyond individual classes and begin thinking in month-long increments.

5

Sequencing for a Series

series is a special offering that is not regularly on a teaching/studio schedule. As in other modules, you will have guided practices, opportunities to see how I break down content and plan classes, & templates to implement planning on your own.

6

Short Format Online Classes

One of the major themes of the course is that the work we’re doing can scale to different environments. And as a teacher in the modern era, it’s important to learn how to navigate multiple teaching formats. If you practice with me on Glo, you’ll get a clear view into how I develop and present that style of class.

7

Sequencing for Workshops

Finally, I’ll break down exactly how I develop and execute sequences for workshops—something I’ve done for multiple decades in many different locations. I share the exact formula, planning process, and structure that has worked consistently for me and the teachers I've trained.

Sequencing for Weekly Classes: 4-Week Hip-Focused Curriculum
Sequencing for Online Series: 4-Part Core Strength Curriculum
Sequencing for Online Series: Restorative Curriculum
Sequencing for Backbend Workshop: Rethinking Backbends Curriculum

A Hybrid of Guided Practices, Visual Breakdowns, Written Prompts

I've created a three-part process that serves two purposes: First, it guides you through my thinking behind each sequence and second, it prompts you to create your own. This course is about actively learning with a clear outcome of creating your own content to share.

  • First, we'll practice a sequence together

The sequence will be part of a sample course that we're working on

  • Second, I'll share a video breakdown of the sequence

In the breakdowns, I will walk you through concepts verbally and explain sequencing decsisions.

  • Third, you'll have an assignment to create your own

I’ll give you structure, prompts, and guardrails—but you’ll make the sequencing decisions and record them in your manual.

Here's the core problem this course will solve:

The central problem this course solves is not poor sequencing -- it's the scattered, random nature of inventing new sequences for each and every class.

This course addresses the skillset that is missing from today's teacher trainings: How to design classes that work together over time, across multiple teaching environments, without sacrificing creativity or responsiveness

Put simply, you will learn how to create your own yoga curriculum without memorizing scripts or rigid planning. You will learn to communicate meaningful teaching over time, which will increase your confidence, reduce burnout, and lead to better student retention.

In both the Self-Paced and Group Call options, you receive 100% of the coursework (the lectures, the practices, and the manual). The difference is that the Group Call option allows students to interact directly and ask questions of Jason in a group Zoom setting once/month for six months.
