I've spent thousands of hours teaching yoga and training teachers. I've also looked to peers outside the yoga community, in the fields of physical therapy, orthopedics, and sports medicine. As a result, you'll learn the most up-to-date, contemporary asana techniques without losing the essence of the yoga tradition.
I will teach you how to teach online and in-person.

Today’s teachers need to know how to teach in different environments -- and different environments require different formats. I've been teaching on glo for more than 15 years and in person for 25+. This training has you covered as I share my own wisdom and experiences transparently.

I know how hard it can be to present in front of groups, so I build you up slowly but surely. You will graduate with a plan to teach. In fact, you’ll graduate with a template, which includes 5 structured sequences and a curriculum to teach beginners.

Teacher Training Works

As soon as you register, you'll receive instant access to all of the pre-recorded lectures and practices.

Get started on this training right away! When you register, you'll automatically receive an email with your login and password for the training so that you can access more than 150 hours of content covering anatomy, philosophy, meditation, sequencing, and postural technique.

We'll begin live calls together on January 14th, 2025.

This training includes 11 weeks of live calls with Jason. The live calls are your opportunity to ask questions, practice together, and break out into small groups with assignments from Jason.

Each week, there will be two live calls with Jason to accommodate different time zones. You are only expected to attend one live call each week. You may attend both calls if you'd like. If you're unable to attend, the live calls will be recorded and available to watch in replay.

We will move through the content together.

For this online-only training Jason provides a detailed weekly schedule to keep you on track and moving through the lectures and practices together. However, you will be able to access and re-watch all of the course content for 12 months.

Once you complete the course, you can register as a 200-hour RYT!

You will be required to pass exams with us focused on each of our subject matter areas: anatomy, philosophy, technique, sequencing, and working with beginners.

When you graduate, you will be able to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200 RYT. You have one year to complete all of your coursework.

FAQ

Can I do this training even if I'm not interested in teaching?

Yes! The training is open to anyone interested in learning more about yoga and deepening their yoga practice.
What type of yoga will I be able to teach after this training?

You will be trained in vinyasa yoga and hatha yoga. You will have training in both the active flowing components of an asana class as well as quiet practices like Yoga Nidra, meditation, and pranayama.
How many live calls are there? Which ones do I have to attend?

The live calls begin on January 14th and there are 11 weeks of live calls.

There are two live calls per week. One is on Tuesdays from 8-9:30am Pacific; the other is on Thursdays from 4-5:30pm Pacific. You will need to attend one call per week. If you miss a call, you can make it up by watching the replay.

Will I really learn to teach yoga? Will there be practice teaching?

Yes and yes! I feel that it's important that my students feel ready to start teaching upon completely this course. To that end, the course provides set sequences that you will learn to teach, a clear sequencing methodology, and the opportunity to practice teach in small groups. Learning to teach and speak in front of a group can be intimidating at first -- I scaffold the learning to ensure that you feel safe and supported throughout the course.
Can I get started before the calls start on January 14th?

Yes, once you enroll, you will be sent an email that gives you access to more than 150+ of pre-recorded lectures, and assignments, as well as yoga, meditation, and pranayama practices. You can get started right away!
Is there a reading list?

Yes, you will be reading:

The Upanishads, The Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Heart of Yoga, Yoga Body: Origins of Modern Posture Practice, Buddha's Brain, and Selling Yoga.
What are the graduation requirements for certification?

At the end of the course, there is a written test to be completed online. You will receive your certificate once Jason has reviewed your test. At that point, you can register with Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour RYT.
How long do I have access to the course?

You will have access to the course for one year and you must complete the course within the year to earn the certification.
